Consultation: You will have an initial consultation with one of our aesthetic professionals to assess your skin concerns, discuss your goals, and determine if microneedling (with or without radiofrequency) is suitable for you. They will explain the procedure, potential risks, and expected outcomes.

Preparation: On the day of the treatment, your skin will be cleansed and prepped. We will discuss the treatment and ensure are you are suitable to proceed on the day.

Microneedling: The procedure begins with the application of a handheld device equipped with tiny sterile needles. These needles create controlled micro-injuries in the skin's surface. The depth of the needles can be adjusted based on the specific skin concerns being addressed.

Radiofrequency energy delivery: In addition to the microneedles, the device also emits radiofrequency energy. This energy is delivered to the deeper layers of the skin, heating the tissues and stimulating collagen production.

Treatment of targeted areas: The device is moved across the treatment areas. The procedure is typically well-tolerated, but you may feel a slight prickling sensation or heat during the treatment. Please communicate any discomfort with your practitioner, as settings can be altered to reduce this.

Post-treatment care: After the session, post-procedure skincare and SPF will be applied to help with recovery. We will provide post-treatment instructions, such as avoiding excessive sun exposure and using sunscreen.

As the Focus Dual offers many different needle depths and intensity settings for the RF, treatments can be easily customised for every individual and level of concern.

Is Radiofrequency Microneedling painful?
Before the procedure, we will patch test the needling for you to experience the sensation prior to the full treatment. While you may experience mild sensations of warmth and pressure during the session, most individuals find the treatment to be tolerable. Should you find the discomfort too much, please communicate this with your aesthetician, as depth and intensity can be reduced, and numbing cream applied if needed.

How many treatments are needed to see results?
